This project involved providing consultancy services for the detailed feasibility and engineering design of Group 1 Roads in Assam. The focus was on upgrading approximately 263 km of roads to enhance connectivity and safety. Funded by the Asian Development Bank, the project also addressed social, environmental, and road safety safeguards. The initiative aimed to improve regional infrastructure, facilitate economic development, and ensure safe transportation for the local population.
Our Approach
The approach included conducting detailed surveys and assessments to understand the existing road conditions and identify areas for improvement. The project team developed engineering designs that incorporated modern road construction standards and safety measures. Social and environmental impact assessments were carried out to mitigate any adverse effects and promote sustainable development. The project also included extensive stakeholder engagement to ensure the community’s needs and concerns were addressed. Road safety audits were conducted, and safety features such as signage, barriers, and pedestrian crossings were integrated into the design. The project adopted a collaborative approach, working closely with local authorities and the public to ensure successful implementation.
