This project involved providing consultancy services for the preparation of a Social Impact Assessment (SIA) and a Resettlement & Rehabilitation (R&R) Plan for the upgradation of 10 new national highways in Assam. The objective was to assess the socio-economic impacts of the proposed road projects and develop a comprehensive R&R plan to mitigate adverse effects on the affected communities. The project aimed to ensure that the development of new highways was carried out in a socially responsible and sustainable manner.
Our Approach
The approach involved conducting a thorough Social Impact Assessment (SIA) that included household surveys, focus group discussions, and consultations with local stakeholders.
