This project involves conducting an Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) for urban and non-urban roads, including major and minor bridges in Meghalaya. Funded by the World Bank, the project aims to ensure sustainable infrastructure development. The ESIA will identify potential environmental and social impacts and propose strategies to mitigate them, ensuring that the infrastructure development is inclusive and sustainable.
Our Approach
It includes conducting baseline environmental and social studies and developing management instruments. Stakeholder consultations are conducted to gather input, and continuous monitoring and evaluation ensure compliance with international standards. The ESIA aims to promote sustainable infrastructure development and enhance the quality of life for the affected communities. Key components include:
